“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” — Psalm 33:12

 

There are moments in history when a nation must stop…

look in the mirror…and ask itself a difficult question:

 

“Have we forgotten God?”

 

America is hurting.

 

We see it in the division between us. We see it in broken families, loneliness, anger, violence, fear, and the growing inability to disagree without becoming enemies. We have more technology than ever before, but somehow we are struggling to connect with one another. We have more information than any generation in history, yet truth itself is increasingly questioned.

 

And while we continue to ask

 

God to bless America, perhaps God is asking America:

 

“Will you remember Me?”

 

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”

 

That is not merely a patriotic statement. It is a spiritual truth.

America's greatest strength has never been found simply in its military…

its economy…its technology…or its political power.

 

Our greatest strength is found in the God who gives us life, freedom, wisdom, mercy, and hope. And perhaps the greatest danger facing America isn't an enemy from outside our borders.

 

Perhaps it's what is happening inside our hearts. When hatred becomes easier than forgiveness…When anger becomes louder than compassion…When political identity becomes more important than our identity in Christ…When success becomes more important than character…When we become more concerned about winning an argument than loving a person…we

have lost our way.

 

But here's the good news: God has not abandoned us.

 

He is still calling. He is still reaching.He is still forgiving.

He is still knocking on the door of human hearts.

And maybe today, He's knocking on yours.

The answer isn't found in another argument. It isn't found in another election. It isn't found in pointing fingers at the other side. The answer begins when we turn our hearts back toward God.

 

Revival doesn't begin in Washington. It begins in us.

It begins when a father gets on his knees and prays for his family.

When a mother teaches her children to trust God. When a young person chooses faith over pressure. When a Christian chooses forgiveness over bitterness. When the church stops fighting with the world and starts loving the

world back to Jesus.

 

America doesn't need Christians who merely talk about Jesus.

 

America needs Christians who live like Jesus. People who will love when it's difficult. Forgive when they've been wounded. Serve when nobody is watching.

Speak truth without hatred. And carry the hope of Christ into a world

desperately searching for hope.

 

So today, let's not just pray,

“God bless America.”

 

Let's pray something deeper:

“God, bring America back to You.”

 

Bring us back to truth.

Bring us back to righteousness.

 

Bring us back to compassion.

Bring us back to prayer. Bring us back to Your Word.

​

And most of all…bring us back to Jesus. Because America may have forgotten God…

but God has not forgotten America. And if we will turn our hearts toward Him,

He can still heal what is broken, restore what has been lost,

and breathe new life into a nation that desperately needs hope.
